Chapter 2 - Complex Lifeforms

The Red Queen rejoiced in what she and the Blue King created yet she sensed looming sadness coming from the King. The Queen questioned him, asking why he did not rejoice with her and share in their marvel. The King only replied to say he felt the void was still empty and that there was no one else to appreciate what they made. 

 

For eons the Queen lamented over how to please her King until finally the answer came to her. The Queen sacrificed a bit of herself, her own light, to birth new life in the universe. She called them Gekkia; a race of small feathered or furry bird-like beings that populated the stars in peaceful harmony. When the King saw what the Queen had done for him he was filled with joy. He scoured the universe to observe the Queen's new creation. He loved their simple-minded nature; how they found joy in everything and loved one another.
